So I was silly enough to think that I had lots of extra time so I decided to join Pintrest I LOVE pintrest. I love it but it is a time sucker for sure.

Boxing Day

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. My daughter went to Calgary after we were done our Christmas celebrations and my BF went to Vancouver to see his daughter, son in law and grandkids. Today my son spent the day with his dad. It was a holiday as usual - we are very blessed to be healthy and happy. Today I spent most of the day scrapbooking.

Getting things done

I am working on getting things done around the yard. Too bad Mother Nature is not helping. It just keeps raining and raining. I could not work in the yard so I did a couple layouts instead.

Christmas Layout

Taylor and Logan had a blast playing with Zak's new race track he got. Zak was so thrilled that the big kids wanted to play with him. It was cute.

Taylor's Paintings

These are two Christmas gifts that Taylor painted. One is a 16x20 Canvas of a flamingo. The other is a five foot by 2 foot canvas for her grandma of a Japanese style girl.

She is so talented. I am hoping maybe someday I will get one for me too. Hint hint Taylor.

Since I posted Taylor's Halloween costume and not Logan's I thought I better do his too.
He was the Kool Aid man. It was kind of fun to make and he really liked it. The papers are from Cool Summer kit designed by Simply Sweet Designs by Kim

Taylor Halloween

Taylor loved to get her costume ready for halloween. She knitted the hat, after learning to knit. She also dyed the pants to match the correct color.

This is Logan's first year of football playing in the Kinsmen Football League. He had a great year and got to be the quarterback for most of the year. He also won the offensive player of the year. Yeah Logan!!

Holidays in Hand Class

I love Jessica Sprague and her amazing classes. Especially the free ones! I have taken up her offer for a new class - Holidays in Hand.

This new class will hopefully put things in perspective for me and make the holiday more of a holiday and less like a shopping trip.

Day one of the class is to refocus on the holiday values.

That is a toughie. What are my values? I have them honest. I just have never written them down anywhere.

My family is the most important thing. I think that my set of values revolve around them.

* I want traditions - more traditions. I just hope that my kids are not too old to start some.

* I value my family. My goal is to make more time for us. Not just my kids and I but my only sister and her family as well as my cousins and aunts and uncles. I want to get to know them.

* Spiritual values - Do I have them? I am not sure. I believe in something. What I don't know. I am sure that there is a God but I don't believe that the God in charge of our world would allow some of the crap going on to occur. I guess my goal is to find God or something. I just know that that would make our family stronger.

* Thanks. I believe that we should be thankful for what we have. We might not have a brand new suv but we have a functional, and working van that serves our needs. There are many out there that do not even have that. We might not have money for fancy trips but we can enjoy a trip to the movies just as much.

My goals are to be a better person. One who can be loved and counted on. One who can be thankful for all that I have. One whose family is close and enjoys each other.

I sure hope this is what I am suppose to be doing.

what the heck

I just noticed now - a few months too late- that the date on the side is not updating. I am going to have to get a new blog design I guess.
